Travelling Uganda

Uganda is a country of exceptional scenic beauty. She is land locked, and lies between the two east African great rift valleys. It is crossed by the equator. Our neighbors are Kenya to the East, Tanzania in the South, Rwanda in Southwest, Democratic Republic of Congo in the West and the Sudan to the North.
The country boasts of snow caped mountains, rolling plains, thick tropical forests, semi desert areas as well as places with thinly sparse vegetation. Due to regular rainfall the country tends to be green throughout the year and we enjoy a fairly temperate climate with little variation.
Uganda’s area is 241,139 sq km with a population of approximately 24.6 million (census 2000). Our currency is the Shilling.

Kampala offers very good accomodation to comfortable and fits every budget.
Elsewhere across the country and in the National parks, hotels and Inns are generally available, but quality of service and rooms vary greatly.
